About Us

History

Deccan Dyes & Chemical Industries  (DDCI or Deccan Dyes) is a market-leading dyes & pigments manufacturer based in India. It is a reflection of the entrepreneurial vision of founder Late Mr. P. M. Bodas, a dynamic person with indomitable courage and will-power. He was the first Managing Director of Sahyadri Dyestuffs and Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., a pioneer in manufacturing Basic dyes. DDCI was established by the late Shri. P. M. Bodas in the year 1961, which was later grown multifold during the successive management of Mr. V. P. Bodas & Mr. R. P. Bodas.

Thus the founders and the organisation are a pioneer of the synthetic organic (SO) Dyestuffs industry in India. Over the last few decades DDCI has delivered substantial volumes of quality products to serve more than 5 continents.

Present

Deccan Dyes operates out of the city of Pune in the state of Maharashtra, India. The manufacturing facilities are well-equipped with machinery, staff as well as R & D and testing lab facilities. DDCI is a high-tech chemical company featuring high-purity complex molecular structures, and multi-step synthesis reactions.

Acid Blue

Acid Blue 93

Synonyms: Ink Blue, Acid Ink Blue, Acid Ink Blue G, Aniline Blue, Methyl Blue, Victoria Blue

Properties: Acid Blue 93 is easy to dissolve in cold or hot water for blue solution. Also soluble in ethanol for green light blue solutioin. Makes a red-brown solution in strong Sulphuric Acid, violet when diluted.
Applications: Acid Blue 93 is used in Toilet / Floor Cleaners, Leather / Wool / Silk / Nylon Dyes, Water-based colors, Inks. It is mainly used to produce pure blue and black ink.
Acid Blue

Properties: Acid Violet 19 is soluble in cold or hot water for magenta red solution. It is not soluble in alcohol. It turns orange in strong Sulphuric Acid, dilutes into red-purple.

Applications: Acid Violet 19 is used in Inks, Biological Staining, Water-based colors, Leather / Nylon Dyes
Magenta

Basic Violet 14

Properties: Pararosaniline Hydrochloride or Basic Red 9 forms a light reddish solution in lukewarm to hot water. It is easily soluble in ethanol to form a cherry-red solution.

Alkali Blue

Alkali Blue

Synonyms: Pigment Blue 61, Reflex Blue

Properties: Alkali Blue is insoluble in water. It is soluble in ethanol to form a green light blue solution. It can be dispersed in oils to form a flush paste pigment.
Applications: Alkali Blue is used in Printing Ink, Paints, Oil-based colors
